Initially, Gary sold flavored iced teas in his burger restaurant, Buns Over Texas, and later decided to add a dedicated tea store to his new building, officially creating Texas Tea. The franchise has since grown rapidly, with a prototype store launched in Midland, TX in January 2018. Weatherford itself has a rich history, named after State Senator Thomas Jefferson Weatherford. The city is known for its historic homes and buildings, including the Parker County Courthouse completed in 1886. Weatherford is also famous for producing some of the biggest, sweetest peaches in Texas, celebrated annually at the Parker County Peach Festival[3].
