We’ve tested this uncoupler on our personal N scale layout and found it to be a reliable, easy-to-use tool. It works well with a gentle nudge, and the interchangeable tip system lets you swap between a fiber optic tip (included) or a needle-style tip if preferred.

The clip-on pen light body includes two bright white LEDs and a red laser pointer, adding even more functionality. Battery access is simple via the keychain cap. Please note: we haven’t tested this tool on Kadee or knuckle couplers—it may still work depending on your layout setup.
